Overnight train from Hanoi to Lao Cai

DAY 1: SAPA ARRIVAL AND DISCOVERY (B/L/-)

6:00, Arrive Lao Cai Station and be picked ip by our guide.

Enjoy an hour drive uphill Hoang Lien Son Mountains to Sapa.

Keep your eyes open for great views of valleys and terraced rice fields.

Arrive Sapa and our guide will show you around this charming town.

Visit the market, where different ethnic minority groups wearing traditional costumes. Selling local products includes vegetable, bamboo shoot, mushroom, medicinal herbs and souvenirs.

Follow the footsteps to the top of Ham Rong Moutain for over viewing the town and surrounding area.

Visit an orchard garden and a mini museum, learn about ethnic groups living in Sapa and the northwest region.

In the afternoon, walk to visit Cat Cat village – Black H’mong and enjoy a coffee a local shop.

Overnight at a hotel Sapa.

DAY 2: SAPA – SU PAN – THANH PHU – SIN CHAI (B/L/D)

After your breakfast, start cycling from Sapa.

The first 7km features with steep road, wild nature and spectacular scenery of Fansipan Mount on your right side as well as Muong Hoa Valley.

Cross the Muong Hoa River and exploring ethnic villages including Ta Van (Zay); Lao Chai and Su Pan (Black H’mong).

Continue 12km further south; admire the valley view in oval shape.

Cycle along windy road, picturesque Ban Ho Valley, surround by green fields and stilt houses.

At noon, arrive Thanh Phu Village - Tay ethnic minority, explore the village and have lunch.

In the afternoon, continue your adventure up and down hills, valleys for 20km.

Arrive at Sin Chai Village, Red Zao ethnic and having a coffee break.

Your choice of cycling or walking for few hours, explore the Red Zao unique way of life, enjoy sunset.

Dinner in a local house and overnight stay in the bamboo huts.

DAY 3: SIN CHAI – BAN HO – SAPA – OVERNIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI (B/L/-)

Having breakfast at a homestay.

Cycling 2 hours along a narrow and dusty road to reach Ban Ho Valley.

Enjoy a short walk to explore this large village of the Tay, built in a nature setting by the side of Nam Sai River.

Swim at the river nearby and having picnic lunch and relax.

Continue cycle up hills back.

You will be arriving in Sapa in the late afternoon.

Shower and transfer to Lao Cai Station for overnight train back to Hanoi.

Overnight train in first class 4 beds cabin with air-conditioning.
