Hanoi - Mai Chau - Hoa Lu - Tam Coc - Halong Bay

Day 1 : Hanoi - Mai Chau

Have breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning to Mai Chau through charming roads. You pass the landscapes: the limestone rocks, green hills of tea and sugar cane fields … stops along the way for the beautiful photos and for meetings with hospital minorities. Arrive in Mai Chau in the afternoon; enjoy tea in the large traditional Thai house on stilts. Have lunch with the locals. Then, you will hike around the village to discover the daily life and crafts of White Thai minority. Have dinner and stay overnight at homestay/hotel in Mai Chau.

 

Day 2 : Mai Chau - Hoa Lu - Trang An - Tam Coc

In the morning, meet your tour guide to depart for Ninh Binh province (90 km south of Hanoi). Arrive at Hoa Lu, which was once depicted the ancient capital of Viet Nam, settling up in the 10th century. Visit temples of two dynasties of Dinh and Le with a very unique architectures in the old time.

After lunch at local restaurant, take a sampan cruise to discover the caves of Tam Coc (three lagoons) which is known as “Ha Long Bay on land”. The boat will go down stream on the Ngo Dong river through immense rice fields. You will wriggle through three cool caves with beautiful stalactic rocks. Going through the amazing range of rocks, you can observe the abundant aquatic life beneath the water.

Next, continue your trip to Bich Dong – an ancient temple located on the cliff. Renting a bike is the best way to travel from Tam Coc to Bich Dong to enjoy the beautiful immense fields on the way of 2.5km and immerse the peaceful life. Back to Hanoi at the late afternoon. The end of the day, check in homestay/hotel in Tam Coc.

 

Day 3 : Ninh Binh - Halong Bay Cruise - Overnight on boat

In the morning, transfer to Halong bay.

12.00 – 12.30 : Embark at Hon Gai International harbor.

12.30 – 13.00 : Check-in, enjoy welcome drink & cruise briefing.

13.30 – 15.00 : Have lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay; admire the fascinating formations on the way.

15.15 – 15.40 : Explore the well- hidden Thien Canh Son Cave.

15.45 – 18:00 : Enjoy relaxing on a white sandy beach at Hon Co Island, swimming or kayaking.

18:00 – 19.00 : Back to junk for refreshing before having dinner on board.

20.00 – 21.00 : Relax, enjoy fresh air & overnight on board.

 

Day 4 : Halong Bay - Vung Vieng fishing village - Cat Ba

07.30 – 08.00 : Morning view of Bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee. Have breakfast in the fresh air.

08.30 – 09.30 : Visit VungVieng fishing village by a rustic row-boat, meet the local people and pass through the floating school and fish farms.

10.00 : Check out of the cabin. Start cruising towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served.

11.45 – 12.00: Disembark and then transfer directly to Noi Bai Airport for the flight to next destinations. TOUR ENDS
