Bac Ha Trekking Tour from Sapa 4 Days

DAY 1: LAO CAI/SAPA – BAC HA – TA VAN CHU

Distance: ~ 13 km ~ Duration: 4 hrs

From Sapa or Lao Cai, enjoy your road trip to Bac Ha. It takes about 2 hours drive through amazing mountains landscape before reaching Bac Ha. Visit the weekly market (Sunday) and  meet the flowered Hmong and Tays. In the early afternoon, a short ride to Ta Van Chu Village, discover the local life of the hill tribe in the village. 

At the end of the day, enjoy wonderful moments of having dinner with a local family and stay overnight for a real homestay experience at the village. 

DAY 2: THAI GIANG PHO – NA LO

Distance: 17 km ~ Duration: 5-6 hrs

After breakfast, hike through the rice fields to the best points for the awesome mountain vistas. Enjoy the natural beauties and the scenic views along the trails.

Take rest for a lunch picnic on the trails, a nice spot under the shade.

After lunch, continue on winding trails that will traverse you into many different beautiful valleys during the way.

Get a close insight of culture and traditions in the mountain region for the knowledge and their kindness and hospitality.

Having dinner and overnight at the inhabitant.

DAY 3: NAM MON – TRUNG DO

Distance: 15 km ~ Duration: 5-6 hrs

Having breakfast, then hiking again among the rice terraces, the largest producer of the region for hours.

After a picnic lunch, continue on winding trails that will traverse you into many different beautiful valleys during the way.

Then, enjoy a leisure walk to an ethnic village, which located at the mountain side, explore the particular architecture of Tay houses, built on stilts and palm leaves roof.

Having dinner and spend the night at a local family.

DAY 4: TRUNG DO – BOAT TRIP ON CHAY RIVER – LAO CAI

Distance: 11 km ~ Duration: 4-5 hrs

After having breakfast, you will leave for a beautiful walk in the middle of the mountains.

A picnic lunch offers on the trails.

In the afternoon, board a boat for cruising downstream the Chay River for one and half hour cruise on the Chay River. Experience a taste of local life with plenty of time to chill above the water. Then, being transferred back to Lao Cai.

On the route, visit beautiful scenery of typical green tea hills alongside and stop by the Sino-Vietnamese border before getting a train back to Hanoi and tour ends.
